He is Grayville's weatherman. Amateur meteorologist Norman Bredenkamp loves the weather. He has spent years recording the local weather history and reports the weather forecast for the Grayville, Illinois area to Fox 7 in Evansville, Indiana. He has been a Fox 7 official weather spotter since 1996.

Norman's interest in weather started as an interest in preserving a part of history. Norman's interest in the weather can be traced to a grade school fascination in lightning. "I read every book I could get my hands on. I even invented an instrument that can keep lightning from striking. It's on the market now. I love to catch lightning in a photograph, it is hard to do but I have a few of them.
